Students will each receive a computer at schoolstart and then they use it as their own all the time. At graduation, the opportunity to buy off the computer at a reasonable price.
I also think it's a pretty good deal but it also locks the municipality into one product.
It's fun that your picture show everything that is included in the computer world=) Disturbances like headphones, mobiles .. Tragic that not all schools can afford their studients own computers, just some municipalities.
I did not understand your comment fully lizzyi, is it the new goverment that dident like that the school bought computers for the students or the learning system with computers?
The Australian government minister for schools decided that they would fund a small sized laptop for EVERY school student in the WHOLE country once they were 15 -this became problematic with the students loosing them or breaking them so now the school keeps the computers or tablets ( iPads) on behalf of the student at the school and uses them in a class set during class time .
We do not have that at TAFE tho - tertiary only in the secondary schools
do they take the computers home with them? or leave them at the school.?

ReplyDeleteThat's a great system . They started it here in senior years for high school only , but I think it has been fazed out slowly with government changes.
