Agneberg s school library is one of the best school libraries in the country. You can search for information in books and databases, loan, or work in the library.

  3. Hello Maria

This looks like a good place to be. How do the students use it? Is it mainly used in their "free" time to do assignments, or is it used as part of their classes? Or maybe a combination of the two?

  4. Hi Maria
Do you find the students still like to attend a physical library?

  5. Hi Susanne and Laura! I don´t think the students are as interested to search for facts in different books, as I did when I was in their age. They have their own laptop and like to use the internet. In Sweden the students do a lot of groupwork. When the groups work with their projects the classroom gets to small and they use the library and other rooms.I think they get an introduction to the library so they can find the subjects for the program. I do think that the library still is a popular place to be in. It´s quiet and you can smell the books :)

  6. It would be sad if the internet competed out our library, a heritage that must be preserved. I think everyone who works in the school must use the libraries at school.

  7. I completely agree!

Our municipality has invested a lot on a new library. And I realy like to be there and small the books! :) (Mayby I might count as old although I do not see myself as one;) In the beginning I was surprised at the number of people that allways was in the libery, in all age!

Do you as a teacher use the library as a central part of education?
How do you do in Australia?
